The rules we follow — technical and otherwise. Most of them cost us something. That's usually how you know they're real.

    We tell founders when they're building the wrong thing.

    Even when it ends the engagement early. Even when it means a smaller project. A studio that ships whatever you asked for is not on your side — it's on its invoice's side. We'd rather lose the next three months of revenue than help you build something that won't work in market.

    We reprice before burning your budget.

    If the scope shifts mid-engagement, we stop and put a new number on the table. We don't discover what we should have scoped on your dime. That means occasionally starting difficult conversations early. It also means we've never run a project into the ground on “unexpected complexity.”

    We hand over everything.

    Custom code. Documentation. Architecture decisions. The Fundset modules and internal libraries we brought with us. When we leave, you own all of it — including the parts we reuse across engagements. No license lock-in. No maintenance tax. No hostage code.

    We don't sell retainers.

    Engagements end. If you come back, you come back because you chose to. We're not interested in building businesses that depend on clients never building their own capability. Our model assumes you'll outgrow us, and we price accordingly.

    We publish what we'd do differently.

    Every case study on this page has a section called “What we’d do differently.” These are written by the engineers who did the work, not by marketing. If we knew how to hide our mistakes, we probably wouldn’t trust ourselves either.

    We walked away from a category that needed to be walked away from.

    Our first three years were mostly web3 work. Much of that space sells stories, not products. We chose to stop positioning ourselves there, even though it cost us a market we understood, because we couldn't defend everything being built around us. The engineering skills transferred. The posture stayed.
