RentInvesto — Real Estate Investment, as Simple as a Bank Deposit

We built RentInvesto from scratch in 8 months — the entire platform, from mobile app to admin panel. It's the first app in Poland that lets you invest in real estate as easily as opening a bank deposit. We joined in April 2024 as their technology partner.

The Challenge

RentInvesto had deep real estate expertise and a clear vision: make property investment accessible to everyone in Poland. What they didn't have was a working platform. Investment platforms in Europe must meet strict regulations around identity verification, document signing, and financial transactions. Speed couldn't come at the cost of compliance. This wasn't just an app; it was financial infrastructure.

What We Delivered

A complete investment platform with mobile apps (iOS and Android), a web version, and an admin panel for the RentInvesto team.

Seamless onboarding: Users verify their identity through Veriff, sign investment agreements electronically via Signius, and can start investing within minutes.

Integrated payments: Investors deposit funds through Stripe. Monthly rental income is automatically distributed through zen.com.

AI assistant: A voice-enabled assistant (built with LiveKit and OpenAI) that answers questions about properties and investments in natural conversation.

Admin tools: The RentInvesto team can add properties, configure investment parameters, track user activity, and manage the platform without developer help.

How We Built It

We started from scratch — no legacy code, no inherited problems. This gave us freedom to make the right architectural decisions from day one.

Compliance wasn't an afterthought. We built identity verification, electronic signatures, and regulatory checks into the core flow. When regulations changed mid-project (which they did), our modular approach meant we could adapt without major rewrites.

We worked in close collaboration with the RentInvesto team, validating each phase before moving to the next. This prevented scope creep and kept the project on track.

Key Decisions

Mobile-first: Most investment decisions happen on phones. We prioritized mobile experience over desktop.

Real payment testing: We built comprehensive test suites to simulate financial flows without risking real funds, then rolled out in stages with careful monitoring.

App Store strategy: Financial apps face the strictest scrutiny. We started App Store and Google Play documentation early, submitted for feedback before the final build, and delivered a 5/5-rated app on first approval.
